Mom just left yesterday, after being here for 10 days. How jealous I am of friends who live near their parents.....fortunately Rick and I haven't messed up too bad on our own.:) Mom painted our front wall and helped give me a sense of some sanity. She deserves a metal for watching the kids for a couple of days so we could go on a quick Mexico trip with friends.
Mexico was great.....I'd have to say the best part would be being able to actually lie on the beach with my eyes closed and sleep if I wanted to because........no kids to watch! But I have to admit, they would have loved it.....So a couple new pairs of sunglasses and a bottle of Mexican vanilla....a little bit of ocean air and I'm good, for a few more hours.:) I just realized I have no pictures of just me and Rick on our camera!
Brett, Aimee, Lea, Me, Judy and the Captain I'm sad to say I think our swimming season is over. Gunnar, Cajsa and Hayden were the last poor, cold souls who could brave it. The temperatures dropped about 20 degrees overnight!

I LOVE this! How cute are your kids??? I forgot about your trip. I'm glad you had some time away. Let me know if your mom wants to adopt some (ahem) reasonably responsible older children. ha!
Sounds like you guys had fun. Glad you found time to get away. (Definitely jealous of the no kids thing. Lucky!) :)
